Discipline Under the Nurse Licensure Compact

The Law Offices of Kevin J. Dolley is on the forefront of changes in nursing law. Mr. Dolley's has a high priority on fighting for nurses' rights as the law changes.

The Nursing License Compact has been touted as an agreement that will enhance the profession of nursing and allow for increased mobility for nurses. However, the Missouri State Board of Nursing has also interpreted Missouri's new law as prohibiting nurses on probation from working in any other NLC state.

According to the Board's current position, the NLC will severely limit Missouri nurses on probation, regardless of the reason for their discipline. For nurses facing probation, this means any complaint could potentially have a debilitating affect on the ability to make income.
