St. Louis Missouri Motion to Modify Law Firm

Child Support and Child Custody Attorney

After a divorce or child custody and support order is entered, the parties are permitted to seek a modification of child support payments or child custody if there exists a substantial and continuing change in circumstances.   Attorney Kevin J. Dolley represents both parties seeking to change child support or custody arrangements and those defending against such changes.  While the collaborative law concept may sound nice, the reality is that matters involving changes in custody or support  are often hotly contested cases.   Mr. Dolley aggressively asserts a parent's rights in motion to modify child support or custody cases and regularly prepares clients for court proceedings.

Who Can File a Motion to Modify

In order to make a change in custody or child support a request must be filed with the court establishing the basis for the change.  Changes that constitute the basis for modification of custody or child support arrangement include adjustment or loss of employment, changes in the needs of the children or parents, change in expenses, changes in child custody practices of the parties, living arrangements of the parties or other factors.  Changes in child support payments in Missouri are most commonly evaluated using what is called Form 14.

Asserting Client Child Support and Custody Rights

Attorney Kevin J. Dolley provides highly effective assistance in helping modify an existing order or protecting a client's rights under an existing court order.   Mr. Dolley represents parties seeking to reduce child support after loss of employment or individuals seeking increased child support necessitated by changes over time.  Mr. Dolley focuses on providing clients with experienced counsel and personalized attention for each cases that he handles.  The firm understands the importance of each parent's relationship with their children and works to make the necessary changes to an existing child visitation order to reflect the fairest situation possible.
